Pool Time

Today was the last day of high school swim practice for the whole team (it doesn't all end until March) so we let the kids play water polo. Since we were practicing in the warm pool I brought Liam along for some swimming. . .
. . . with all the goggles lying around it was only a matter of time before he starting wearing them . . .
. . . ever since the Keys we learned that Liam has no fear of the water, and it didn't go away once we returned from vacation. . . if I let go of his hand, he would jump in the pool. Good thing it was full of swimmers and whoever was closest would just play with him until I hopped in . . .
These three beauties were Liam's dates for Valentine's Day. . .
While Casey and I went out to dinner, Bethanie, Krista, and Ashley took Liam out to dinner and bought him cute little Valentine's Day gifts. He doesn't realize how good he's got it!

Chef Liam

For dinner last night, we made a whole wheat pizza - and by "we" - I mean Liam. I put the sauce on, and Liam diligently spread the cheese . . .
. . . put on the oregano . . .
. . . and laid out the turkey pepperoni

He was very impressed with himself, and it tasted great!
How many more years until you think he can use the oven? - then we've got it made!

What to do when you're snowed in . . .

If it wasn't fun enough for Mommy, Daddy, and Liam to be hit with the stomach virus during the snow storm, we found other things to keep us entertained .

Liam decided to form a rock band, he now only wants to play the drums while wearing Casey's sunglasses . . .

Apparently we aren't fun enough for him, he finally put on his backpack yesterday and asked to go to school . . .

Let it Snow . . .

Over the weekend we had lots of snow and Liam woke up rockin' this fancy hairstyle . . .
We played outside in the snow with our neighbors. Liam enjoyed it for about 20 minutes . . . once again - he refused to keep his mittens on

Then we headed over to Grandma & Grandpa's for the Superbowl . . .

After Dinner Fun

Tonight after dinner we had a little fun in the hallway . . . We would build a "castle" according to Liam and then use Buzz Lightyear and the Dinosaur to knock it down.

I don't think that you could find a use for these cups farther away from beer pong than this.
The joys of growing up and having to be responsible :)

Snow . . . not as fun as we had hoped

It snowed on Sunday so we thought we'd try out Liam's new snow pants and boots. He was not a fan of the mittens. I guess not being able to fully use your hands is upsetting. He was not a happy camper.

We took the mittens off and he was all better. Plus he found a giant tree limb to play with which would make any boy happy.
We didn't take him out in the snow today, but we're suppossed to get about 12 inches on Saturday so we will see.

The Little Gym

The other night I had a swim meet out in Freehold so Casey took Liam to a 1st Birthday Party at the Little Gym . . .What a brave Daddy. Liam had a great time running around like a maniac. None of the pictures are from the front since he was running away from Casey the whole time.
Pretty sure this obstacle was a piece of cake since he climbs over the coffee table at home numerous times a day . . .
Working on the arm strength so he can throw the ball farther . . .
