Aunt Jaclyn took Liam to an Easter event that her boyfriend was running. (He's NOT the guy cracking up in the back - no clue who that is) Liam was happy to watch the Easter bunny from a distance, but once he got close it was not as fun. You can tell by the look on his face. If you asked him if he wanted to sit with the Easter bunny he would say "No, he's too big". I agree with him, bunnies are normally quite small and close to the ground.

Happy Birthday Aunt Jaclyn
Aunt Jaclyn celebrated her Birthday today and Liam was very anxious to go over and sing Happy Birthday to her. I made cupcakes and told him he could't have one until we sang Happy Birthday to Aunt Jac. So he sang Happy Birthday and then asked for a cupcake. Can't blame a kid for trying. . . To keep him busy I told him to use all of his blocks to build a castle. He did pretty well . . .(with a little help from Mommy)

Mr. "I Do It"
So Liam's favorite phrase lately is "I Do It". No matter what the activity, from making dinner to brushing his teeth, to reading. He apparently thinks he can read - and I have not bought into the hoax on the infomercials that "Your Baby Can Read" - frankly I don't want a 2 year old who is smarter than me living under the same roof. Anyway, he sits in his chair in his room and "reads", when I try to read to him at night he says "No, I read" and he reads to me. While it's cute, he is obviously going to be quite independent as he gets older, which makes Mommy a little sad that she won't be as needed - then again, the slacker mom in me is a little relieved. *side note - he does have more than one book - the bookcase is empty because he has pulled them all out and the books are all on the floor behind the ottoman :)

Baseball Season
Today was a beautiful day, and since it's supposed to rain at the end of the week we spent as much time outside as we could. Liam and I took our old shed to the recycling center and made $24! Score! Then we went for a run with our neighbors to train for our 5K in May. We must be a sight with the jogger strollers around the 'hood. . . Then before the grocery store we stopped by the Mon Don scrimmage and Liam got to show off his skills . . .

Crazy Weather . . . Crazy Kid
Saturday we had some crazy weather here so instead of going out in the storm Nana, PopPop, and Uncle Adam came to our house to celebrate Adam's birthday early (he'll be away at school for his actual birthday). Liam helped Uncle Adam blow out his candles which is good practice for his own birthday in a couple weeks.
Sunday morning he walked down the hallway like this . . .
. . .and this is what the Saturday night storm did to the shed that Casey and I painstakingly put together when we were engaged . . . sad to see it go, Casey's happy he gets a new, nicer one!
It's now Monday, and the shed is still like this, once the rain finally stops we'll go out there. At least it's not snow :)Monday, March 8, 2010
Please Touch Museum - Again
On Friday, Liam and I went to one of our favorite places - the Please Touch Museum in Philly. I had to go to a swim meet overnight all weekend so I wanted to spend some quality time with him before I left. We had a wonderful time and Liam is always so happy and well behaved when we are there.
They had a new exhibit there about Rainforests. There was a great play area where you climb up through a tree and through these nets, I thought Liam would be too small to make it through the levels, but he proved me wrong. . .
. . . He made it to the top and then down the leaf slide . . .
and then did it about 5 more times
Then we headed to Center City Philly to visit Uncle Adam and go out to a late lunch.Friday, March 5, 2010
Getting Taller
Here he is the other morning eating his favorite breakfast - oatmeal mixed with strawberry yogurt.
If someone took a photo of me right after I woke up, I don't think I'd be as cool with it as Liam seems. :)

Happy Birthday Daddy
Today is Daddy's Birthday and we had lots of fun with him. Liam and Mommy surprised Daddy at his school with lunch and balloons. Then after dinner we sang happy birthday and Liam could not take his eyes off the cake . . .
"Birthday to You, Birthday to You, Daddy"
too cute . . .
