Beach Day . . . Finally

We were finally able to be free to go to the beach and have the weather be perfect! Grandmom Murray met us over there and Liam got to play with Daddy and lay around in the sand. We lasted almost 6 hours and Liam ate an entire turkey and cheese sandwich, a cereal bar, blueberries, and a soft pretzel! I don't know where he puts it all.

He enjoys rolling around in the sand, which my Mom pointed out is much better than him being afraid to touch it. Can't wait to go again. Keep the sun coming!

Denise's Wedding

My best friend Denise got married on Saturday and I was the maid of honor (matron of honor I guess - but that sounds old). I didn't really have my camera during the important stuff, but here are a few shots I was able to get. Here is the bride in the limo outside the church while we were waiting for all the guests to get inside. Doesn't she look beautiful?!
Here are me and the hubby at the reception at Sea Oaks Golf Course
and here is Jaclyn, Jared, Me, and Casey taking a break from bustin' a move on the dance floor.
It was a fun time and Liam got to stay with Grandma and Grandpa Scallon. He also had a great time and was very well behaved!

Boardwalk!

Liam and I went up to the boardwalk with our friends from the neighborhood. It was Liam's first time going on the rides and there were actually a few he could go on without me.
He LOVED the swings . . .
He was also able to go on the cars. . . . Here he is with his friend Ava. . . Since Ava is 4, she got to pick the vehicle they rode in. I think it's good he understands at a young age that the woman gets to make the decisions :)
besides, he doesn't seem to realize he's in a pink Barbie car . . .
we had lots of fun and I know Liam can't wait to go again!

Father's Day

We had a Father's Day BBQ to celebrate with our family. Casey got home from the beach early to cut the grass during the small window of sunshine that we experienced.
Liam was very intrigued and figured out that he could stand on the baseboard and look out the window . . .
Grandmom and Aunt Jac (somehow I didn't get a picture of my Dad, but Father's Day was also my parents Anniversary)

Outside with Murray

Liam loves trying to throw the ball for Murray whenever we are out back. Murray tries to give the ball to anyone but Liam because he doesn't throw it far enough. This time Liam threw it at Murray's head, it bounced off and then hit Liam in the head and bounced. Quite the trick.

School Days

My students had their last day of class before exams yesterday and they were begging for Liam to come visit. My mom brought him in and he looks like he fits right in!

Beach Day

After church today, Aunt Jac and I walked Liam down to the Barnegat Bay Festival in Island Heights. He slept in his stroller the entire time we were there so I don't think he got much out of it. Later I took him over to Ortley to burn some energy and did he ever!
This is the only time I got him to sit while we were there (and if you notice, I had to bribe him with food). He wanted to be in the water and kept making a break for the ocean. He also played catch with one of my little swimmers who was there, threw sand, ate sand, rolled in sand after getting wet, and then took a wonderful nap on the way home and stayed asleep for about an hour after we got home! Gotta love the beach.

Founders Day

Jaclyn and I took Liam downtown for Founders Day today. Jaclyn brought Lola and we got to see Jared and our friend Keri. Keri has her own dessert business and Liam got to taste the goods . . .
. . . he loved the cupcake cone!
If you have an occasion you need desserts for check out Keri's website:
I have sampled lots of her creations and they are all delicious & Liam definitely recommends her

Twins

At the Mon Don Baseball Banquet the JV team gave Casey a T-shirt for Liam. I put it on him because he was going to head over to the baseball field for the end of their practice so the I could take a class at the gym (sometimes the logistics of running him around so we can do things is mind boggling - but it works). When Casey came home he was wearing the same thing Liam was . . .so cute !
Future Short Stop. . . He already has the tough guy look down pat.

Outdoor Fun

Earlier in the week it was so nice out that we spent as much time outside as possible. Good thing, because the past couple days have been rainy :(
Liam got a lawn mower and it's his new favorite thing.

He also loves the water table he got for a birthday gift.
Usually when he plays with it, I strip him down to his diaper. He tries to climb up into the water table, so I can't wait to see what he does once we get the pool opened.
My guys cutting the grass. Let's home Liam is this interested in cutting the grass 12 years from now.
. . . and, of course, Murray is never far away from the action
