Sledding

Even though Liam is not a fan of the snow we thought we'd take advantage of our snow day and not having swimming and try to get him to go sledding. . . . we'll he LOVED it!
Here's his first trip down the hill . . .

Daddy trying to slow them down . . .

All bundled up . . . Liam couldn't get enough!
The hill was pretty fast and Liam kept asking to go by himself, so we finally let him go alone for a few feet:

Miami Zoo

On one of our last days in Florida we decided to go to the Miami Zoo . . . none of us had ever been and when I saw on their website that you could meet Diego there, we HAD to go!

They even had a Dinosaur Dig which Liam loved - Diego and Dinosaurs are his 2 favorite things, so he could live here and be happy . . .
The funniest animal at the zoo was the orangutan who found this empty bag and was hiding under it . . .
This is how we spent a lot of our time while seeing the animals and exhibits . . . chasing after Liam who was barefoot the majority of the time and still able to outrun us
and here is the photo op that we had to get . . . .
Liam and Diego!!!

Florida Keys . . .

It may have only been 6am, but this guy was ready to get out of town and head for warmer waters . . . he was AMAZING on the plane . . .

Once we got there, it didn't take long for Liam to feel right at home

He swam so much the first day that he practically slept through dinner at our favorite restaurant. . .

We had such a great time with Nana and Pop Pop
Here is Mommy and Nana at Anne's Beach . . .

Liam outside Wahoo's restaurant
and the shark out back
Trying to catch some fish on our boat ride in the bay. . . The captain (Brian) let Liam drive the boat at high speeds through the bay - and Liam was able to steer by himself and keep the boat steady and on course . . . it was a little freaky
At the Islamorada Fish House with Nana and Pop Pop
Gotta love restaurants that are on sand . . . the perfect entertainment for Liam during dinner
Feeding the tarpon
Sleeping through another sunset . . . He would go go go all day long without a nap and crash in the car on the way to eat - and still slept ALL NIGHT! - which is rare for him
Peek-a-boo - I see someone who's happy it's 80 degrees
On our last full day in FL we headed north to the Miami Zoo (more photos to follow)

I took over 300 photos I think, so here's a link to more:

New Year Fun

New Year's Day we went to Nana and PopPops for Taco night. . .
Liam was super excited about his quesadilla!
Then Liam and Nana did some painting (editor's note: the Miller Lites are NOT Liam's)

This afternoon I took Liam to Harrogate to swim at Mom-Mom and Aunt Helen's heated and empty pool. . . like usual, we had it to ourselves and Liam had fun swimming for 45 minutes until I made him get out so we could eat dinner. . .
Liam did a great job swimming up and back and up back
he's getting very brave and doesn't think he needs me near him while he's swimming
and here I am trying to count for him to jump in so that he doesn't just dive-bomb me like he enjoys doing
Liam's biggest swim fans . . .he looks so old here
