Picture Time & a New Hat

I had a lunch date with some of my girlfriends from school today so Aunt Jac took Liam to get his picture taken at Picture People. Even though it was during his usual nap time he was in happy spirits and took some great photos.

when I got home he wasn't done hamming it up for the camera. Almost anything becomes a hat these days. . . his baseball mitt, a bowl, whatever he can find that might fit on his head

Beach Morning

Liam, Grandma Scallon, and I hit the beach this morning to take advantage of the nice weather since the rest of the weekend might not be so great. Liam was glad to have Grandma there to play catch with. . . .

Ortley Tournament & Erin's Birthday

Liam's cousin Erin will be turning 4 tomorrow, so we took her out today to celebrate. We went to lunch at Friendly's and then to the Disney Store.

Aunt Jaclyn came with us and Erin enjoyed her ice cream!

Then tonight was the Ortley Beach Lifeguard Tournament so we headed over to the beach to cheer on Casey and his team.

Ride 'em Cowboy

Liam has started to do some tricks on his horse . . . He also uses the horse to climb (and stand) on top of the coffee table . . . I think the horse will be moving into the basement for awhile

Aquarium

Today I took Liam to the aquarium in Point Pleasant with his cousins and he was not exactly on his best behavior. To his defense, he's getting in some teeth and he didn't get his usual hour nap before we got there. . . here are his cousins who were behaving . . .

Liam was in the back carrier for a little while, and holding onto Lucky - his dog that he needs to fall asleep . We are looking at the koi fish and turtles when all of a sudden - Liam throws Lucky into the water . . .
. . .here is the girl who works at the aquarium rescuing and wringing out Lucky who got washed as soon as we returned home

. . . never a dull moment

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Casey had tickets to a Blue Claws game in the luxury box on Friday so we invited a bunch of friends and had a night at the ballpark!

Liam even stayed awake for the fireworks which went off after 9:30pm. He wasn't too thrilled with the sound of them so we watched them from inside the suite.

Little Fish

Liam has been doing a lot of swimming lately. Here he is at my parent's house . . .

Last night our friends were over and Casey and Liam played in the pool with the other kids.

Today Liam and I went on a swim date to our neighbors house . . . here are the kids taking a break to eat before getting back in the pool. . .

More Beach Photos

Liam has actually been more manageable at the beach than I thought he would be. He's content to sit in his pool and play or sit in the sand for a stretch of time. . . it's been great!

Here he is playing in the sand with two girls from my MD swim team (Krista & Ashley). They wanted to take him boogie boarding, but the water was a little too chilly . . . not to mention that he's probably too young to actually go boogie boarding

Flirting at the Pool

The other night there was a swim meet at MRYC. Liam came along and got to play with his friend Lila (Casey's best friend's daughter who is 4 months older than Liam). He's flirting with her to try and get her lollipop. . . . . . and then in for the kill
he looks so old here - and so tan!

Mom's Birthday

Liam was all about the hugs on my birthday. We went to Grandmom and Grandpop (who Liam now calls Pop Pop) Murray's house for dinner, and Liam was sharing the love.
. . . And as always, he was all about the food, too!

4th of July

Liam had a fun-filled 4th of July. We got to the beach nice and early and it was beautiful there. Here's Liam in Dad's lifeguard hat relaxing in my beach chair.

He had fun playing with his beach friends and his cousins were also at the beach.

Then it was off to the country club with the Scallon gang for a BBQ and to watch the fireworks.

Liam fell asleep during the fireworks, but we enjoyed watching them!
