Did you see that?

I wanted to try our new waterproof video camera out at our weekly swim lessons. And while I remembered the camera, I forgot something very important . . . Liam's swim suit! Since we always have the pool to ourselves my mom and I thought we would just let him swim in his underwear. To our surprise - he had taken it off when he had gotten home from school and didn't put it back on after using the potty. I found a Pull-up deep in the trunk of my car and figured it was better than nothing. So please excuse his attire in this video

Spelling Skills . . .

Today was Aunt Jaclyn's birthday and we went to Nana and Pop Pops for dinner. Liam found a new game to play and was showing off his alphabet skills. When 'D' came up we thought he was going to answer "Diego" to our question, but he gave a much cuter answer. . .

Spring is in the Air . . .

Even though we had some wacky weather this week we were able to enjoy the outdoors quite a bit. We also got some swim time in at Harrogate and Nana came in with us.
Liam is getting warmed up after doing a great job practicing his backstroke
On Saturday we headed to the ball field for an intersquad game that Daddy and PopPop were coaching. Liam hung out in the dug out and worked on some skills. I make him wear his batting helmet to the field now, and personally I think it's adorable . . .

Trying out the catcher's gear
In the batting cage area perfecting his swing . . . Pop Pop thinks it's textbook

After a day at the field we went to the Country Club for dinner with Grandmom and Grandpop and Liam picked a daffodil out of our neighbor's garden just for Grandmom and he couldn't wait to give it to her . . . notice his handsome tie :)
Ready for this weekend and some more fun!

Philadelphia . . . Here We Come

I played hookey from school Friday and Liam and I headed to Philly on a beautiful 70 degree day. First we stopped at the Please Touch Museum where we launched some rockets . . .
Became Astronauts . . .
and made some puppets. Then we picked up Uncle Adam on South Broad Street and started our early birthday celebration. . . Liam was so excited to see Adam,
he kept telling him "I love you so much, Adam"

Liam loves having an Uncle who has the same taste in toys . . . Adam is sporting his birthday present from my Mom and Dad . . .
After presents we headed to Passyunk for some muy delicioso margaritas and authentic Mexican food . . .
Then some strolling around South Street in style . . .

And a visit to Uncle Adam's job where Liam was super impressed by the view from the 15th floor . . .

He thought it was so cool that we were up so high
And walking back to the car after 2 hours outside in the city where he pet as many dogs as he could find. He would see someone walking their dog from 50 feet away and start asking "Can I please pet your dog" before they could even hear him. . . I guess he's missing Murr Murr a lot :(
It was an amazing 8 hours in the city and we had a great time celebrating with Adam since we won't see him on his real birthday (this Tuesday)

St. Patrick's Day

It was a beautiful St. Patrick's Day and Liam had a party at school. After school we spent the rest of the day outside until it was dinner time. After he got tired of kicking the ball around the yard, we took the scooter out for a spin. . .

He's pretty good at keeping himself moving, and we need to find him a new helmet - the one from last summer is too small for this big guy. . .
Happy to be Irish . . .

Preparing . . .

On Saturday Liam woke up and we were planning on going over to the Seaside St. Patrick's Day Parade. Liam started off in the spirit of the season with his breakfast served on as much green as we could find . . .
Then he bounced around the house in this getup . . .
and we even hit up a pre-party at my friend's house . . .
. . . and then we never made it over for the parade. Liam was tired so Nana watched him and I went over for a few hours with Aunt Jaclyn and some friends - Maybe next year!

Last week we went to the party store to start getting ready for Liam's 3rd Birthday party. It was a tough decision between a Pirate party or a Diego party, but the pinata sealed the deal . . .
Diego it is! Still laughing at myself for buying this dumb pinata when he will probably be the only kid at the party to try and break it open . . .hope Pop Pop and Grandpa feel like tapping into their inner child to play too :)

Name Game

Liam has been working on writing his name since Valentine's Day, and I'm starting to appreciate giving him such a short name to work with :)

Light at the end of the tunnel . . . aka The End of Swim Season

The past 2 weeks have been pretty crazy around here, and with high school swim season coming to an end, things seem to be busier than ever, but by next week things will be a little easier.
Nana and Pop Pop decided to head back to Florida which meant I needed a babysitter for Liam for a few days since Nana watches him Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. No college kids were home on break yet, so Liam came to school with Mommy for 2 days and he loved it.
One of my swimmers is my Teaching Assistant and kept him busy and occupied so I could teach. He loves Michelle . . .
We went to our regular Tuesday swim dates at Harrogate with MomMom and Aunt Helen
And this week Liam wanted to sport his goggles - he even wore them in the shower afterwards
Some pirate fun at home - notice the homemade binoculars he has in his holster (he thinks sticking random objects in the elastic waistband of his pants is the same thing as having a holster)
And it's warming up a bit, so Liam is excited to get outside with Daddy and work on his batting skills . . .
He looks ready for baseball season, which started Friday!
And we finally got to really celebrate Daddy's 38th Birthday last night at Bonefish Grill with Grandmom and Grandpop. Liam was incredibly well behaved at the restaurant - we almost didn't know he was there - must have been the 3 hour afternoon nap Nana got him to take :)
Baseball season - here we come!
