Last night we made Sloppy Joes for dinner with ground turkey and Liam loved it! He ate an entire bowl full of the meat switching between his fork and his hands, and although it may not look like it, he got most of it in his mouth. He didn't throw the bowl off the high chair or try to feed Murray - he just sat there happy as can be and ate everything in front of him (pretty impressive to me considering he still has no teeth). Then, when he was all finished, he rubbed his gross hands all over his head :) That's our boy!Tuesday, April 28, 2009

How to Play Catch When You Don't Have a Ball . . .
Aunt Jaclyn and Uncle Adam had some fun with Liam yesterday.Grandmom did not think it was so fun.
Yesterday was so warm that I knew it would be a great night to eat outside. So after Daddy and Grandpop's Baseball games we ate outside - no bugs, no sweatshirts, perfect!

Happy Easter
Liam had a fun-filled first Easter. He woke up and found his Easter basket with all kinds of goodies inside. He was obsessed with the ball.
Then we met Grandma & Grandpa Scallon at TRCC for brunch where Liam ate French toast, sausage, eggs, and a blueberry muffin (even though he still has no teeth). Then we took a nap! (Mommy's favorite part of the day), did a little bit of yardwork, and went to my parents for a relaxed dinner and some fun on the swing . . .

Party Animal
Liam's 1st birthday party was last night. We had our family over and Liam was very excited to see everyone and to be spoiled. It was a baseball themed party, hence his Little League jersey. We let him have a cupcake after opening all of his gifts. That will be the last cupcake for awhile. At 10pm he was still running around the family room playing while Casey and I were trying to hold our eyes open. . .

Doctors & Swimming
Today he had his 1-year well-visit. Still in the 90th percentile for height and jumped to the 70th for weight. Carrying around 23 pounds is no easy task these days. He got the chicken pox vaccine but seems to not be bothered by it. We just got back from a little jog and Liam is napping in his stroller, resting up for his first Mommy-and-me Swim Lesson tonight.

Happy Birthday!
It's official. Our little man is one-year old today!
We aren't having his party until Friday, but this morning he opened his birthday present from Mom and Dad which he got a kick out of - a pony that plays songs and spins and bounces. Then he hung out with Uncle Adam while I was at work, and Aunt Jaclyn and I took him to lunch.
after dinner we sang "Happy Birthday" and Liam ate some birthday frozen yogurt . . .Monday, April 6, 2009

Relaxin' on Saturday
Grandma Scallon went on a shopping spree to Janie & Jack Friday and Liam got lots of good stuff . . .
. . . he decided to wear his new sweatshirt and looked very handsome. He has really started walking around a lot today, and when he takes off he laughs hysterically and keeps his arms up in the air . . .
Then we had a fun family game of catch with the mini soccer ball and Liam had so much fun. He was laughing so hard it was contagious. Have a great Saturday!

Today it hit 60 so we headed out to the park in Island Heights afterschool with the kids from the neighborhood. Here is Ava pushing Liam in the swing . . .
