Liam had his well visit today so I took off of work and brought him to the pediatrician. He is now 26.5 inches tall and weighs 18 pounds. He got 2 shots and we went to visit Uncle Adam since Liam is missing being taken care of by him today.

Liam's 1st 5K . . . out of the belly anyway
Today was the St. Joseph's Carpenter's Classic 5K. The weather wasn't great, but Casey, Liam, and I got ourselves over to Seaside Park to do it. The last time I ran 3.1 miles was this race last year when I was 3 months pregnant. I figured I had no excuse this year. Liam slept through the first mile and a half, but once I hit the boardwalk to run back he started yelling. I really only had to stop for him once, and Casey finished about 4 minutes in front of us and cheered us on when we crossed the finish line.
Here is Liam congratulating Mommy with a kiss.Wednesday, September 24, 2008
Play Date
My friend Patti and I finally found time to go walk together at the Brick Reservoir this afternoon. Liam and Brynn were all bundled up and before we left they got to hang out with each other. . .

Maine
This weekend we took a trip up to Maine. Liam's Aunt Cate Uncle Lee and cousins Rachel and Maggie live up there. Maggie's Baptism was on Sunday and Casey and I are her godparents. It was Liam's first time in a car for over an hour and we had a wonderful time.
We carpooled with Casey's parents so Liam was entertained in the backseat by Mommy and Grandma Scallon (lucky kid). Here we are at Red's Lobster Shack about to indulge in world famous lobster rolls. YUM!

Rachel and Liam getting to know each other. Liam loves Rachel and gave her a big hug when we left. (Yes, he's wearing a monkey hat)
Here are Cate and Maggie and Mommy and Liam. Maggie is 2 months younger than Liam so they should have a lot of fun growing up together.

King of the Tub
Getting ready for his nightly bath . . .
We have to put him in the bathtub now, he was splashing too much when the tub was in the sink and I would get soaked. It doesn't feel so great on the back, but it's a lot easier in the big tub.
He can sit up pretty well and loves when he gets sprayed with the showerhead.
And we're clean again! Ready for another day of getting messy!Wednesday, September 17, 2008
Brothers
Liam and Murray have been getting along so well. And like brothers, they have started wrestling with each other (kind of). Liam has started instigating him into licking his face. I think Murray does it to try and distract Liam so he can take his toys . . .

Ice Cream
Jaclyn and I took Liam to visit Aunt DD at Yellow Brick Road Ice Cream. Unfortunately he didn't get to try any, but Jaclyn and I enjoyed ourselves. Liam got to go behind the counter and seemed to have a blast.

We Love Fridays!!!
Fridays might just be the best day of the week around here. I finish teaching around 11am and Casey doesn't have to coach afterschool on Fridays. We also get to go to Grandma & Grandpa Scallon's house for Pizza Night!
Liam has been sitting up on his own. He can sit pretty well without any help for a little while, and here he likes being able to grab onto (and taste) other parts of the play gym. . .
Here Liam is with Grandpa Scallon hoping he can get in on the pizza eating too . . .
Have a great weekened!

5 Months Old!
Liam is 5 months old today! The summer has definitely flown by and we've gotten into our new routine with school. Liam seems to be adjusting just fine and doesn't seem to miss me at all when I'm at school for 3 hours.
His favorite things to do at 5 months old include doing razberries with his tongue, giggling at Daddy, holding his feet (and sometimes putting them in his mouth), and waking up at 3am. The last one is not one of Mommy's favorite things. He's been taking in some sporting events this weekend and luckily our teams have been winning.
Saturday he got his first taste of Notre Dame football with Daddy, and today he watched the Phillies beat the Mets and the Eagles win their season opener with Uncle Adam and Grandpop. . .
. . . Liam seemed more interested in getting his hands on the remote. Such a guy!

Apples . . .maybe not . . .
Last night Liam tried organic apples for the first time. After every bite he would shudder and make a face like this . . .
Casey and I are off to work today.
Liam begins his new schedule with Grandmom C and Uncle Adam.
